Joondalup appoint David Taylor as Senior Coach

Joondalup are delighted to announce the appointment of David Taylor as Senior Coach for the coming 2022/23 season.

David comes to the Club with a wealth of experience both in playing and coaching, more recently where he was Coach of Melville Cricket Club leading them to a T20 flag last season.

As a player David was a hard hitting left hand bat and medium fast bowler playing in the first ever T20 game for Worcestershire in 2003 whilst plying his trade in the Home Counties and Bradford Leagues in the UK from 2002, amassing over 11000 runs and taking 450 wickets.

Since returning back home to Perth he has been coaching some of the best up and coming young players in grade cricket and more recently Coach of Melville Cricket Club over the last two seasons.

David says:

“I am really looking forward to continuing my coaching career with such a great club and a huge thankyou to the committee for giving me the opportunity to bring my style of coaching to this group of players. I’m super keen building on the momentum and hopefully bringing flags in all grades over the next few years”.
