Joondalup Districts Cricket Club (JDCC) is excited to announce the inclusion of their inaugural Under 17s female team for 2025/26 Female Youth League season.

Junior Female Director of Cricket at JDCC Mark Kent said “JDCC now offers a female pathway right through the girls’ junior cricket. With trials for the Female Youth League inaugural squad on the 10th and 14th February (https://www.playhq.com/cricket-australia/register/b0d20a)  there has never been a more exciting time to be a part of what will be JDCC’s storied 127 year history”.

In announcing the expansion of the Female Youth League to include JDCC, the WACA reflected on the performance of the U14 side this year and stated JDCC is “well positioned” to join the competition in-2025/26.

On the announcement form the WACA, JDCC President Craig Gerrans stated “This entrenches JDCC as the largest junior Premier cricket club in Perth with 10 junior teams and 2 development squads. With a $3m commitment from local member Emily Hamilton to expand the lighting and changeroom facilities at JDCC’s home at the Joondalup Sports Association in Iluka to accommodate the growth of female sport, JDCC provides an exceptional talent pathway for young cricketers, both female and male, in the northern suburbs”.
